Pet Portraits

Why Being a Pet Owner Makes Me a Better Realtor

Firstly, I am proud to be a Douglas Elliman agent. This organization puts its buyers and sellers at a distinct advantage, because we have the best quality tools to do the job and a staff dedicated to help.

Secondly, I am also uniquely qualified (as a long-time dog owner myself) to assist other pet-loving buyers in New York City. As a group, we face particular challenges others may not be familiar with:

• Pet friendly buildings
• Dog runs
• Vets
• Dog walkers
• Doggie Day Care
• Pet stores

I am happy to address these and other issues when helping you find a home.

Not only will I work with you, but I will be delighted to present you with a gift portrait of your pet on completion of sale. My media is watercolor and colored pencils.

Ed you have not only captured the heart of McGee, you have captured her soul.

Rolland G. Smith

It’s been wonderful working with Ed to create a portrait of my dog, Rooney.  The care he took was evident in each step of the creative process.  I imagine it is not an easy undertaking to first perceive the personality of a pet, then give it life in another form, working only from a photograph… especially when that pet represents so many things to it’s family.  Ed does it so beautifully and with remarkable accuracy.  I am thrilled to have this portrait, not only as a gift for my husband, but as a heartfelt feature of my home.  Many thanks Ed!

Lori and I would like to express our deep appreciation for the effort you put forth in creating a painting of Levee that truly captured not only his “look” but his spirit as well.  The look of his eyes and ears truly reflect his personality.  Our friends comment on the “Picture” hanging on our living room wall and are amazed to find out it is a painting.  We are now looking for pictures of our other pets to have you paint.  This is a wonderful way to celebrate our relationships with our pets.  You have captured a niche that will give your clients an invaluable memento.  We cannot thank you enough!!! We Love You!

We are so pleased with the portrait of our puppy Becket that Ed created.  He nailed it, and seeing the photo come to life through his pictures of the phases of the work was great.  We’ve gotten it professionally framed and it’s already on the wall…so happy with our new piece of art!  Thanks Ed! Truly again, thank you!

We were extremely impressed with the remarkable resemblance that you captured with Bison’s watercolor print. He is very important part of our life framed for us to enjoy. We can’t thank you enough.
